Dr Waheed Al Tamimi
M.B. CHB F.R.A.C.G.P.
Waheed joined the practice in July 2005. He trained in Iraq at the Al Basrah College of Medicine and came to Australia in 2002. In 2004 he moved to Tasmania and worked at the North West Regional Hospital and the Valley Road Medical Centre.
He has special interests in work related injuries, surgical, paediatrics and psychiatric problems.
Dr Thanuja Perera
M.B.B.S. (Sri Lanka) F.R.A.C.G.P.
Thanuja commenced practising with us in March 2010. She graduated in November 1998 from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka. Thanuja held various positions at the General Hospital, Chilaw, Sri Lanka and Sathsarana Medicare, Kakkapalliya, Sri Lanka until her move to Australia in 2010.
Her interests include women’s health, child health and ophthalmic diseases.
Dr Chaminda Ratnayake
M.B.B.S. F.R.A.C.G.P.
Dr Ratnayake joined the practice in November 2018 following twelve months at an Emergency Department in Melbourne. He and his family moved to the North West Coast when his wife took up a position in Wynyard.
His interests include mental health, women’s health and skin lesion removal.
Dr Sameera Samarabandu
M.B.B.S. Diploma in Family Medicine
Dr Samarabandu joined our practice in April 2023. Prior to joining us, Dr Samarabandu worked as a Medical Registrar at the North West Regional Hospital.
His interests include chronic disease management, general medicine, mental health and womens health.
Dr Nimali Samarabandu
M.B.B.S. Diploma in Family Medicine F.R.A.C.G.P.
Dr Samarabandu joined the practice in June 2024.
