Dr Waheed Al Tamimi
M.B. CHB (F.R.A.C.G.P.)
Waheed joined the practice in July 2005. He trained in Iraq at the Al Basrah College of Medicine and came to Australia in 2002. In 2004 he moved to Tasmania and worked at the North West Regional Hospital and the Valley Road Medical Centre.
He has special interests in work related injuries, surgical, paediatrics and psychiatric problems.

Dr Chaminda Ratnayake
M.B.B.S.
Dr Ratnayake joined the practice in November 2018 following twelve months at an Emergency Department in Melbourne. He and his family moved to the North West Coast when his wife took up a position in Wynyard.
His interests include mental health, women’s health and skin lesion removal.
Dr Sameera Samarabandu
M.B.B.S. Diploma in Family Medicine
Dr Samarabandu joined our practice in April 2023. Prior to joining us, Dr Samarabandu worked as a Medical Registrar at the North West Regional Hospital.
His interests include chronic disease management, general medicine, mental health and womens health.
Dr Imesha Rajakaruna
M.B.B.S. (Sri Lanka)
Dr Rajakaruna joined the practice in April 2021 direct from the North West Regional Hospital.
Her interests include women's health, children's health, chronic disease management and general medicine.

Michelle is our Practice Manager and has worked in the Practice since September 1987. Michelle is responsible for the efficient running of the practice. If you have any complaints or feedback at any time, please don’t hesitate to speak to her.

Enrolled Nurse
Sherron is an Enrolled Nurse and is available every day of the week except Mondays and Wednesdays. Sherron does Health Care Plans and is available for dressings, ECGs, Lung Function tests, and vaccinations. Sherron oversees our clinical accreditation processes. Sherron joined the Medical Centre in November 2000.
Elizabeth
Enrolled Nurse
Liz is an Enrolled Nurse who joined the practice in October 2007 on a part time basis. Liz is available from Monday to Thursday. Liz does Home Health Visits and GP Management Plans. Liz is available for dressings, ECGs, Lung Function tests, and vaccinations at other times.
Michelle
Registered Nurse
Michelle is a Registered Nurse and joined the Practice in May 2018. She is available on Mondays and Wednesdays for dressings, ECGs, Lung Function tests, and vaccinations and on Tuesdays and Thursdays for Health Care Plans. She also assists the doctors with minor surgical procedures. Michelle is also a Nurse Immuniser.
Sarah
Registered Nurse
Sarah joined the practice in March 2022 and works on Mondays and Tuesdays. Sarah is available for dressings, INR testing, pre-employment medicals, driving medicals and assists the GP's with small procedures. Sarah is also a Nurse Immuniser.
Jasmine
Enrolled Nurse
Jas is an Enrolled Nurse who joined the practice in January 2023 on a part time basis. Liz is available from Wednesday to Friday. Jas is available for dressings, ECGs, Lung Function tests, pre-employment medicals and vaccinations at other times.

Our friendly reception staff comprise of our Office Manager,
Christine and Receptionists, Trudy, Madison, Gabriella, Kelly, Karen and Shania. They are here to ensure your safety by making sure your personal details are up to date at all times. If you have any questions please ask them and they will try to find an answer for you.
